Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania awarded over 400 graduate and undergraduate degrees at its fall commencement ceremonies on Dec. 14-15, 2018.

The following students have been named to Alvernia University's Dean's List for the fall 2018 semester. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

The dean's list for the fall 2018 semester at the University of Findlay has been announced.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Wilkes University students will complete internships as part of their academic work in the winter semester 2019. Internships complement academic work, provide students with practical experience in their field of study and prepare them to enter careers. Career Services at Wilkes University provides opportunities for students to clarify their career goals via individual coaching, consultations, interest assessments and life-career planning courses. The Center for Career Development and Internships is newly located behind the Henry Student Center.

Youngstown State University students have been named to the Dean's List for Fall Semester 2018.

Albright College awards $12,000 Founders Scholarships to high school students with outstanding academic records. Founders Scholars generally rank in the top five percent of their graduating class and demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to service.

A total of 594 graduates received associate degrees, specialized diplomas, and certificates from Northampton Community College (NCC) at the Winter Commencement ceremony on January 26.

Kutztown University has conferred degrees for more than 450 students for the Fall 2018 semester. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish the requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The following students have been awarded degrees following the fall 2018 semester. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honors distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80. Students listed multiple times have been awarded more than one degree. Students who have requested privacy (FERPA) are not listed publicly.

Kutztown University has issued Career Exploration Certificates to 41 students for the 2018 fall semester. The Career Exploration Certificate is open to all freshmen and sophomore students. Students gain a greater understanding of themselves and the career development process. They will be better prepared to choose/confirm a major, research careers, gain related experience through informational interviewing and job shadowing experiences, and plan for a successful internship/professional job or graduate school search.

Wilkes University Provost Dr. Anne Skleder announced the Dean's List for the fall 2018 semester.

The University of Scranton announced nearly 1,600 students were named to The University of Scranton's Dean's List for the 2018 fall semester.

A total of 1,513 students have been named to the Dean's List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the Fall 2018 semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, according to Joanne Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the Dean's List are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better and are enrolled full-time. The letter grade "B" earns 3 quality points per credit, and the grade "A" earns 4 quality points per credit.

On December 13, 2018, NCC culinary students faced off in the "Cookies and Cheer" vegan and gluten-free holiday cookie competition sponsored by the Factory, The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, and NCC.

More than 2,000 high-achieving students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring semester at Northampton Community College. The honor is reserved for students who have completed a minimum of 6 credits and achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale in the Fall 2018 semester.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania has recently released its list of students named to the Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year. To qualify for Dean's List, a student must earn a quality point average of 3.5 or higher (based on 4.0) during the semester.

More than 1,740 students have been named to the Fall 2018 Dean's List at Kutztown University. To be eligible for the Dean's List, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.

A total of 472 students will receive degrees from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania at the Winter Commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 15 at 9:45 a.m. in Koehler Fieldhouse. There will be 422 bachelor's degrees, 46 master's degrees and four doctoral degree awarded.

More than 80 students in Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at University of the Sciences received their white coats at a ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018. The white coat ceremony is an annual rite of passage for students in their first professional year (third year) of USciences' six-year pharmacy program and symbolizes their dedication to the profession of pharmacy and to the care of others.

In Commencement exercises on May 15, 2018, FDU conferred nearly 3,000 degrees, ranging from associates to doctorates, on graduates, at MetLife Stadium.

Northampton Community College students and staff gathered on Thursday, November 1 to celebrate the release of the fall issue of "The Laconic", their literary and arts magazine.

Dr. Daniel Greenstein, the fifth chancellor of Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education, visited East Stroudsburg University on Friday, November 2 to talk to constituents about the opportunities and challenges facing the University and the State System. Chancellor Greenstein toured the ESU Innovation Center and met with ESU President, Marcia G. Welsh, Ph.D.; vice presidents, academic deans, student leaders, faculty and staff leaders, and the ESU Council of Trustees. Chancellor Greenstein also held an open forum with the campus community and the community at large. Northampton Community College students and local actors bring to life Sondheim's musical that turns back the clock on friendship and the high price of success. The story follows the lives of three friends - composer Franklin Shepard, lyricist Charley Kringas and writer Mary Flynn - and is told backward. Admission is free for anyone presenting a valid NCC ID, with a donation of a non-perishable food item. Everyone else is $5 for general admission - reservations are encouraged at ncctix.org. Dates are Oct. 18-21.

The HTC Honors College and Center for Interdisciplinary Studies was established at Coastal Carolina University on Oct. 12, and the 700 students who had been accepted into the University's honors program are now the first students housed in the new college. The HTC Honors College and Center for Interdisciplinary Studies will feature many new initiatives and a revised curriculum. It will support students who have ties to majors and departments across campus: from honors students to interdisciplinary studies students, who build their own, innovative academic majors. In addition, the college will continue to support and advise undeclared first-year students as they select and transition into their major.
